Senior Consultant - Northeast

·   Owners Project Management team with direct oversight of the Massachusetts Broadband Institute -123 Project, a 1200 mile fiber optic network build throughout 123 communities in Western Massachusetts. Approximately 1200 miles of fiber optic               cable placement with direct oversight of all Contract Labor, Network activation,               Certification and Documentation.

·   Responsible for all aerial and underground utility make ready coordination and reconciliation of 35,000 utility poles and over 200 conduit applications.              

·   Provided Project Management and field engineering for several wireless carriers system upgrades and construction projects of varying size and complexity throughout the Northeast Region.

·   Analyzed, reviewed and gave expert technical opinion for project proposals, RFP and RFQ requirements as well as project development and attend sales meetings.

·   Responsible for supplying project owners and clients with direct expert business, technical and operations advice and support.

 

Goodman Networks, Plano TX/Burlington MA  01/2008 - 04/2010

Construction Manager, Northeast Market - Wireless Fiber Backhaul.

·   Project based construction management of aerial and underground infrastructure to wired and wireless sites and facilities. Construction of fiber optic cables to wireless antenna sites with oversight of test ,turn up and certification.

·   Responsible for coordinating and defining the scope of work, including property owner meetings and site walks, develop project timelines, construction plans and documentation, contractor coordination as well as "As-Built" construction plans.

·   Contractor selection, assignments and oversight of all site construction activities including aerial and underground construction of fiber optic cable, conduits and attachments in accordance with all customer, state and local requirements.

·   Responsible for Adelphia systems in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maine comprising 14,000 miles of plant, 600,000 homes passed 325,000 subscribers and over 300 technical employees.

·   Development and implementation of capital and expense budgets as well as tracking and fixed asset management.

·   Oversight of management of plant operations, including the head end to customer premise equipment as well as the upgrade/ rebuilding of plants, launching of new services and all construction activities.

Plant Operations Manager

Directly responsible for the advancement of the plant operations department through the effective management of supervisors and staff to               achieve a high level of efficiency. Selected to stay on and support transition after AT&T, Cablevision acquisition.

 

·   Responsible for all OSP technical operations including all construction activities for the Boston market consisting of Boston, Brookline and several surrounding communities.

·   Managed and implemented policies and procedures to insure the technical and safety compliance of the plant to meet company and governmental standards.

·   Responsible for the integration of Cablevision engineering personnel into AT&T Broadband’s organizational structure.  Duties included budgetary development and implementation as well as employee career development.

 

 

 

CABLEVISION OF BOSTON, Boston, MA                               1985-2001

 

Outside Plant Manager (1998-2001)

Oversight for the duties and responsibilities of the field engineering and outside plant maintenance departments for Boston/Brookline and surrounding communities comprised of 1200 miles of plant, 320,000 homes passed and approximately 170,000 customers.

 

·   Responsible for the daily management of all technical personnel for the maintenance and advancement of services via the HFC plant from the headend to the home through the development of training, policies and procedures.

·   Oversight for the duties and responsibilities of supervisors, foremen and technical personnel aimed at ensuring technical compliance of the plant through federal, local and company standards.

·   Managed the plant construction department, aerial and underground, through physical plant maintenance and repair, new construction, permitting, contractor services, road re-construction, dig safe and re-build.

·               Assisted in development, preparation, and implementation of annual engineering capital and operational budgets.

·               Intimately involved in the rebuild/upgrade of the Boston/Brookline plant. Directly responsible for the technical acceptance               and verification of all contractor turn over packages including test documentation.
